The 91st Annual Big 9 Music Festival starts now! The Albert Lea High School Symphony Orchestra is up first.

🎉🔥 Huge Congrats to Our ALHS Welding Students! 🔥🎉
Albert Lea High School students made a powerful statement at yesterday’s 3rd Annual SE MN Welding Competition in Rochester! Out of 25 schools and more than 150 individual welders, our students secured a 2nd place team finish with a score of 63.25 — just 0.25 points behind the 1st place team! Additionally, 4 of our welders finished in the top 13 out of the over 150 students competing 🏆💪
This level of success reflects the strength of our welding program— and the benefits of more than $65,000 in new welding equipment for our lab which was secured last spring via competitive grants. With welding recognized as a high-demand career by the MN Department of Labor and Industry, our students are developing in-demand skills for strong futures.
Each school is invited to enter 6 students into the welding competition. ALHS students participating this year included: Theodore Bowman, Dakota Braund, Kaylyn Eide, Keaton Bremer, Daniel Flores (not pictured), and John Leland.
Special thanks to ALHS graduate and longtime ALHS Career Technical Education teacher, Mr. Jeff Jenson, for his outstanding leadership and mentorship of our ALHS welding students!

Today, the Albert Lea High School NHS officers sent off all 1,400 books to Africa! We would also like to thank the Riverland CDL students for working with us on this exciting service project!

Today is Earth Day! ALHS National Honor Society and Student Council teamed up to clean up! We headed outside this morning to pick up trash around the school! We vote to make every day Earth Day!

It was a great day to be a Tiger for the ALHS Western Humanities students! We visited the Minneapolis Institute of Arts and saw so many works that we've studied in class!

The REAL March Madness ended on Friday morning at ALHS. The Kiesler Senior Flex took the title by winning the Table Surfing Final. Lots of positive energy and a big old line dance to Cotton Eyed Joe to end the assembly.

Lots of furniture being made in the woodshop at ALHS today. Students are making coffee tables, end tables, side tables, tv stands and writing desks.

Real world skills are part of the daily grind at ALHS. The "chicken project" in Ag Science finished with the final step. Farm to table!

Today, Albert Lea High School's National Honors Society and Student Council hosted the very first Leadership Day. This conference was created to bring together the student leaders of southern MN schools and give them lifelong knowlege as they go deeper into leadership. Students engaged in sessions led by community leaders, learning what leadership truly is in their own lives! All students left inspired and ready to be great leaders in the world!

The Fashion & Design classes were working hard on their first sewing project. They are making a DIY rice heating pad using different types of fabric.

Members of the ALHS Choir had a great time in Nashville and Memphis over spring break! Highlights of the trip included the Grand Ole Opry, Country Music Hall of Fame, Nashville Parthenon, Honky Tonk Highway, National Civil Rights Museum, Memphis Pyramid, and Beale Street.

Our students today pondered what type of social contract is best and if rebellion leads to social progress to conclude our studies of the Baroque era. Not a bad way to finish up before spring break!

The series of senior celebrations for the Class of 2025 officially began tonight with the Senior Dinner and Dance.
Prom is right around the corner!

FFA sponsored a staff breakfast to celebrate National FFA Week. Tractors coming to school tomorrow! Thanks FFA.
